Minas Brisa/ Fido 5.0
Belo Horizonte, MG - Brazil 2024/2025The Hybrid Building is in a privileged position in relation to the epicenter of urban life in Belo Horizonte. Located at the intersection of Avenida do Contorno and Rua Cláudio Manoel, its immediate surroundings have a wide variety of scales and occupancy typologies. The building is formed by distinct volumes that, when combined around an empty space, create an integral system. The project´s idea is to harness the complexity and vitality inherent to the city, maximizing the potential for ground occupancy in a way that encourages diversity of experiences, uses and people, redefining the relationship between these types of development with the street.
The complex is formed by distinct volumes that, combined around a void, form an integrated system. The idea behind the project is to take advantage of the complexity and vitality inherent to the city, maximizing the potential for land use in a way that stimulates diversity of experiences, uses, and people, redefining the relationship between this type of development and the street.
The ensemble is formed by distinct volumes that, combined around a void, form an integral system. The idea behind the project is to take advantage of the complexity and vitality inherent in the city, maximizing the potential for land use in a way that encourages diversity of experiences, uses, and people, redefining the relationship between this type of development and the street.
The development should be seen not only as a stepped building with a set of stores at the base, but rather as a complex with several parts that relate to each other around the common (semi-public) area, forming a coherent whole with the potential to activate the block through varied uses, with urban permeability at the pedestrian level.
The project is based on 10 basic strategies, which are: mixed use, varied scale, open block, activated facade, historical interest, varied residential tower, varied commercial base, gardens as living areas, unity and identity, and urban insertion at the pedestrian scale, of the current building, the neighborhood, and the city.
Our ambition is to establish a new paradigm for mixed-use buildings in the city, one that takes into account the historical heritage, the environment, and the diversity of the immediate neighborhood, integrating public and private spaces and enhancing the urban living experience.
The building will possibly be the tallest building in Belo Horizonte (41 floors, 150 meters), surpassing Oscar Niemeyer's iconic JK Building (1968) and the historic Acaiaca Building (1947) in the city center.
